RUFF CUTZ INDIE FILM CONFERENCE

The Ruff Cutz Indie Film Conference (November 14th-16th, 2008) is currently accepting submissions of "Rough Cuts" of your film – i.e., you do NOT have to submit a final cut of a finished film!


The Ruff Cutz Indie Film Conference is not a film festival in the conventional sense, but a conference programmed with film screenings of rough cuts of films, allowing filmmakers to present works-in-progress to professionals, peers, and an audience for critical feedback. Also featured in the conference will be vendor exhibits and presentations by industry professionals, workshops, and a variety of networking events.

If you are a professional, novice, student or even an aspiring filmmaker, you can submit your Short Film, Documentary, Feature, Animation film or even Trailer. We strongly encourage submission of unfinished works, and works in progress.

Select winners will be awarded $10,000 in cash prizes in addition to production software, film equipment, services, and other industry products.

We are accepting submissions in the following categories :

* Narrative Features
* Narrative Shorts
* Drama Shorts
* Comedy Shorts
* Documentary Features
* Documentary Shorts
* Animated Features
* Animated Shorts
* Extreme Sports Feature
* Extreme Sports Shorts
* Horror Features
* Horror Shorts
* Music Videos
* Experimental Films: Is your film a short or a feature?
* Films up to 45 minutes are SHORT length.
* Films from 46 minutes to 200 minutes are FEATURE length.

SUBMISSION FEES:
Feature Films - $30 (normally $40)!
Short Films - $20 (normally $30)!

Student Filmmakers (Valid Student ID Required)
Feature Films - $20 (normally $25)!
Short Films - $15 (normally $20)!

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
* 50 word synopsis of the film or video
* Director's biography
* Full cast and crew list including musical composition credits
* Press Kit, if available, with stills from the work (OPTIONAL)
* Works must be in original language. If needed use English subtitles only.
* For STUDENT submissions - include a copy of the Director's valid student ID.
* Your film must be submitted in DVD or VHS format (for the actual festival, we will accept anything shot on Digital Video, Super 8, 16mm, 35mm, Beta SP, DigiBeta, and HDTV
